May 09, 2012 | By Leila Cobo (@leilacobo), Miami National Latino Broadcasting (NLB) is launching a daily radio show produced jointly with the Latin Recording Academy and centering on the Latin Grammy Awards and its nominated and winning artists
“Latin Grammy En Vivo” will air daily at 4 p.m. on SiriusXM En Vivo, channel 147. En Vivo, dedicated to music and music-themed content, is one of the two channels that NLB leases from Sirius XM and which provide Latin programming. The other channel is Cristina Radio, a 24 hour lifestyle talk channel built on talk show host Cristina Saralegui.
“Latin Grammy En Vivo” will be hosted by industry veteran Kike Posada, and through NLB’s deal with the Latin Academy, will have the rights to air historical material and content from the Academy’s archives. The show will be the official satellite radio partner of the Latin Grammys.
En Vivo broadcasts from Miami and also has partnerships with studios in New York and Los Angeles to tape live performances. As part of its programming updates, the channel is set to air one live recorded performance per hour during its broadcast.
